Bio
Jay Hardin is a multimedia artist and educator. His work is process-driven and utilizes a variety of techniques for creating abstract rhythmic forms and sounds. Hardin creates his art with oil paint, charcoal and digital media. The rhythmic and organic nature of his work represents his interest in the natural world, the unseen forces that reside within it, and his personal exploration of the healing effects of movement and sound. Hardin received his Masters in Fine Arts in drawing from Arizona State University. He lives and works in Phoenix, Arizona, and teaches full time at the Art Institute of Phoenix. Previously, Hardin worked as the Program Coordinator of art and dance at the Herberger Community School and as Program Manager for the mediated learning project, SMALLab, within the Arts, Media, and Engineering Program at Arizona State University. Hardin has exhibited his work at a variety of galleries throughout Arizona. In addition, his work is included in several corporate and private collections throughout the country.
